Hello and welcome to LQ Yoga and Wellness! I am so happy you are here. My name is Lauren Quinlivan and I am a 250 hour Registered Yoga Teacher and a doTERRA Wellness Advocate. I am currently living in Southland, New Zealand near Invercargill and teach public classes at Hot Yoga Invercargill.
My yoga journey began in my birthplace of Orange County, California, where I first practiced yoga in 2009 after many years of dance.
I was immediately drawn to the mental and physical healing properties that the yoga practice offers. Though many things came up and I was often distracted from doing yoga, I always found my way back to my mat. After practicing consecutively for 2 years, I began to feel an undeniable positive shift of peace and clarity in all aspects of my life.
I felt called to begin my journey to become an instructor and enrolled at the Kaya Yoga Remedy 200 Hour Yoga School in Huntington Beach, CA. After my 200 Hour Training was complete, I completed a 50-hour mentorship program with Gilbert and Ashley Naungayan focusing on multiple different styles of yoga including Hatha, Iyengar, Yin, Prenatal and Vinyasa Flow.
My goal is to guide students safely and effectively through their own unique yoga journey and to help them to receive the amazing transformational benefits that yoga has to offer.
I believe that yoga is for everybody and every body. Yoga is beneficial to anyone of any age and any background. You don’t need to be flexible, you don’t need to be spiritual, and you don’t need to be a crystal loving, kale eating hippie (Although you can be 🙂 ). ALL you need is your body and your breath and you are set to receive every single benefit that yoga has to offer!
